The 9th Hinckley CAMRA Beer Festival is again being held at The Atkins Building, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley. This year we are presenting over 70 cask cooled Real Ales, plus ciders, perries, fruit wines and Pimms. Beers from the West Country, Kent, Manchester, the Home Counties, West Midlands and Yorkshire will be featured, many of them from micro-breweries, in addition to LocAles from closer to Hinckley.
In an attempt to appeal to an even wider range of palettes we are including a number of the newer style beers for younger tastes, which will be highlighted in the programme with an asterisk.
Once again, we will have the additional space provided by a marquee where there will be ample seating, with tables and chairs, and will be the venue for the live entertainment. On Friday evening, the music will be provided by the excellent local covers band Superbad, and on Saturday evening, the well-known vocalist Kate Field will be performing.
A selection of excellent tapas as well as more traditional English cuisine will be available from Café Español.
The opening ceremony at 5pm Thursday 15th September will be performed by The Deputy Mayor, Mr Ozzy O'Shea accompanied by The Deputy Mayoress, Mrs Jenny O'Shea
