A large modern pub, open-plan but split in to three levels, the bar is at street level. The middle level has comfortable seating and some dining tables. The top level is at the back of the building, it provides the main dining area and has period timbers in the walls. Previously owned by Wetherspoons.

Dogs welcome in the front bar area. Reasonably priced food, new menu 2020 - "Niri Niri's chicken". Breakfast served from 9 till 12 Beers include 2 from Elmesthorpe Brewery and several guests. One real cider. Disabled access: level from street to the front bar, disabled toilet, stair lift to middle section. The name of this pub recalls the office created by William the Conqueror. The Baron of Hinckley was also Lord High Steward of England.
