The Cock Inn, Sibson due to reopen in November
Wednesday 16 September 2026

The Cock Inn at Sibson is finally set to reopen after a £480,00 investment from the owners, Star Pubs Trading Ltd.
The Grade II listed pub closed in 2019 and since then, the building has been gradually deteriorating. A campaign calling for Star Pubs Trading to renovate and reopen the pub, has been running for some time, including a 2,500 signature petition.
A new licensee, Jason Billingham has been appointed, saying that the area's history and community feel were both key factors for his involvement.
The pub, thought to be over 750 years old and rumoured to have been frequented by Dick Turpin, is set to open in November.
