There is not much happening on the Pub Protection/Planning front at the moment. The only issue is the proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) being put forward by the Government, which, if approved, will have profound implications for the protection of pubs.

At the behest of our Branch Chris made representations to our MP, Dr. Luke Evans and had a lengthy reply. He says he has made representations to the Ministers concerned and will forward any response to us. In addition, he will look for further opportunities to raise the issue in debates/questions/statements as the Government brings the proposals forward.
