Wetherspoons returning to Hinckley?

Tuesday 26 April 2022

The Leicester Mercury, amongst other publications has reported that Wetherspoons are looking to develop a currently vacant retail unit in Hinckley's Crescent shopping complex.

Planning documents appear to have been lodged with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, indicating that Wetherspoons wish to turn the retail unit into a new pub.

It is anticipated that the 8,773 sq ft space would be able to hold a capacity of 840 customers, with the hope that 80 people will be employed, both full and part time.

Hinckley’s former Wetherspoons pub, The Baron of Hinckley, closed on September 22, 2019, which was then taken on by Nirad and Payal Solanki and renamed the "New Baron".
