The local action group, The Oddies, have thanked the nearly 100 objectors to the recent planning application, which hopefully, included many of our members. They feel this was instrumental in the applicants, Cartwright Homes, withdrawing the application before determination and has prompted the company to ask the community if they were still interested in the pub.

With this in mind it is hoped to create a Community Benefit Society with share options available to purchase, which would allow the group to show the level of support they have when progressing the bid and seeking funding from other sources.
