The Oddfellows Arms at Higham on the Hill was sold to a developer, despite locals wanting to buy the pub. However on 3rd April, the planning application from this developer was withdrawn.

The planning application for redevelopment of the Prince of Wales, Coventry Road was refused in 2019. The pub does have ACV status, but the subsequent moratorium finished on 25th February.

The planning application for land behind the White Swan, Stoke Golding has been withdrawn following a major archaelogical and historical objection. The development may well have impinged on the Bosworth battlefield site.
