The Flintlock closed for refurbishment following its sale by Milton Pubs to Marston’s and re-opened on 15 December with a relief manager, Bob Morton. There are now 3 beers – Pedigree plus 2 guests from the Marston’s list. Both bars have been refurbished and the pub now has level access throughout and a disabled toilet/baby changing room. Food is served in the lounge bar 12 till 9pm every day, and sports TV is shown in the bar only. The front has been improved with plenty of outside seating.

Rich and Mandy at the Chequers, Burbage. held a leaving party on Saturday 29 December and left on 5 January. Charles Wells are now advertising for a new tenant although there are rumours that the pub will re-open in February.
