The Chequers, Burbage, was reopened on Friday 24th May by Sue & Dave who also have the Red Lion, Burbage and the Blue Bell in Stoney Stanton. There are currently 3 Beers – Bombardier, Eagle & Directors. One will change depending on how well they sell. There is no food at the moment as they are waiting to appoint a chef.

The Gate Hangs Well, Carlton will be holding a gin, rum and beer festival on 21-23 June. The village will also be holding a scarecrow trail that weekend.

The premises licence for The Crafty Elbow was passed by Hinckley & Bosworth council, however Burbage Parish Council are not in favour and will be objecting when the change of use application is submitted.
