ROUNDUP OF JUNE'S PUB NEWS
- The Belper Arms in Newton Burgoland now has 5 regular beers and one changing beer which are all selling well. They have also recently passed the Cask Marque inspection.
- The Gate Hangs Well at Carlton has been redecorated.
- The Red Lion, Barwell had another new licensee at the end of May.
- Having announced his intention to leave, the landlord of The Black Horse, Sheepy Magna has found a potential buyer for the lease.
- At the Greyhound, Hinckley, the 2 front bars have been painted and refurbished with new lights, carpets, seats reupholstered and tables re-varnished.
- The Clarendon, Coventry Road is still closed while they wait for the insurance to be sorted out. The fire was at the back so the whole building is closed.
- The White Swan in Stoke Golding will be holding a beer festival on 16, 17 and 18 June 2017. Live music on Friday night will be with The Craic - very popular Irish band, Saturday night is an acoustic set from James Edgar and Sunday lunchtime there is a bouncy castle to keep the kids busy while dads are trying the beer on Father's Day!

- The Real Ale Classroom in Leicester opened a second pub on Station Road in Lutterworth on Saturday 3 June. It is a three roomed pub in a similar style to their first pub with the beers listed on a blackboard and served direct from casks in a cooler behind the bar. They also have a garden and smoking shelter.
- According to this month’s Leicester Drinker, The Blue Boar will be opening its second pub in June. The Ale Stone will be on Aylestone Road, Aylestone near the Co-op.
